2015 Pro Am

Castle Hill Country Club Brightside Cover Pro Am – 23rd & 24th March 2015

Castle Hill Country Club is officially the home of “stormy” tournament golf.  As the winner of the “NSW/ACT Pro Am of the Year for 2013” and host of Gloria Jean’s Coffees 2013 NSW Open, which was held during incredibly unpredictable weather in November 2013, we have a proud history of hosting great golfing events, even when the weather is against us. We were the home of the Cannon Challenge for many years and have more recently hosted the NSW Amateurs Championships on our award winning course.

The 2015 Brightside Cover Castle Hill Country Club Pro Am attracted the creme dela creme of current PGA professionals, and was won by New South Welshman PGA Tour Professional Andrew Kirkman with a lead of 2 shots over his nearest competitors, a four way tie for 2nd place between Josh Cabban, Matthew Millar, Aaron Townsend & Brendan Smith.  You can read all about the excitement on the PGA website

The 2015 event, which was re-named by IC Frith to the Brightside Cover Pro Am, once again showcased many talented professional golfers, with over 90 PGA representatives signing up to play.

The 2015 Brightside Cover Castle Hill Country Club Pro Am was a two day golf tournament played on 23rd & 24th March 2015. This year we celebrated the involvement of I C Frith & Associates Insurance Brokers for the 11th year with the launch of their new consumer protection business, Brightside Cover.

The professional prize money purse was $35,000, making this event the highest paying Pro Am on the NSW calendar, the prize money is raised through sponsorship and amateur participation in the event.

Castle Hill Country Club has again been nominated for “NSW/ACT Pro Am of the Year” for our 2014 event, and that coupled with the high profile of Castle Hill Country Club, has ensured positive coverage, exposure, and promotion for all our sponsors.

With over 270 amateur golfers participating over 3 fields during the event, the excitement of playing shoulder to shoulder with some of the best professional golfers in the country, adds to the experience of the tournament.

The 2015 Brightside Cover Castle Hill Country Club Pro Am provided a great opportunity for sponsors to network and entertain special clients in a relaxed atmosphere, with the unique experience of playing alongside touring golf professionals.  The event also provided sponsors with a unique opportunity to expose their business to a large and diverse golfing audience through print media, as well as on course through signage and branding.

In addition, other special activities associated with the event included a $1,500 Professional Shoot Out on the Par 3 4th hole, a bonus  $10,000 payable for any “hole in one” during the shoot out, and our Sponsors Cocktail Party,  added to the excitement.
