Recap!
The first of the knockout rounds in this year’s Super Senior Pennant was played at North Ryde last Monday and saw the Castle Hill team post an impressive 5½ to 2½ victory over Cronulla in the round of 16.
Lindsay Verdon, Drew Simonsen, Mark Foley, Bob White and Ian Cochrane all recorded strong wins, while Rob Pedersen was dormie 3 up when his match was declared.
The win now means the team face the undefeated Bankstown in a quarter-final next Monday 25 September.
With Number 1 player Gerry Power still away it will be another tough assignment, but definitely not impossible.
The match will be played at Oatlands.
