From the Captain

Dear Members,

I am writing to provide an update on a few matters relating to the golf course and car park.

Course Marshal
Commencing on Saturday, April 20th, we shall have a course marshal on the golf course.

The course marshal shall be monitoring pace of play as well as ensuring that members are accepting responsibility for course care.

Of particular concern are the number of poorly raked bunkers or bunkers that have not been raked at all and unfilled divots.

It is the responsibility of every member to rake a bunker correctly after you have played your shot, leave the rake facing toward the hole and sand fill your divot. If you take a large divot then please replace the divot followed by a light sanding.

The course marshal is Bruce McDonald who is well known to many members. Bruce has the full backing of the board so please be good enough to follow his instructions.

Parking in Front of Greenkeepers Shed
The area in front of the greenkeepers shed is clearly marked No Parking or Keep Clear.

On weekends and Wednesday’s there are many cars parked in this area. The green staff have at times not been able to access the front of the shed due to cars parked where they should not have been parked.

The greens staff make regular late afternoon course inspections and require access to the front of the shed and petrol tank at all times.

Please do not park in this area.

Nine Hole Competition
To allow as many members as possible to play when the course is open but golf carts are not permitted on the course, there will be a 9 hole competition available as well as an 18 hole competition.

Competition fee for 9 holes will be $10.

Regards,
Tony Cruise
Captain
