The CHCC Super Seniors Pennant side took another step toward defending their title on Tuesday with an impressive 6-2 victory over the previously undefeated Stonecutters team.

Played at the demanding Richmond Golf Club, Lindsay Verdon made a welcome return after a two week absence and joined Gerry Power, Mark Foley, Ian Cochrane, Trevor Amery and Des Harvey in recording strong wins. 

Bob White bravely battled back against an opponent who was 2 under par and 5 up after 5 holes, closing the margin to 2 before finally succumbing 3 & 2. Tony Pagliaro fought a dogged opponent and mis-behaving putter, eventually going down by the narrowest of margins at the 18th.

The team’s next assignment is against Cumberland at Penrith next Tuesday starting at 10.00am.
