Women’s Grade Match Report Round 6 – Lakeside Golf Course

Posted on: 21 March

Lakeside turned on a picture perfect morning for our 8:10am start -sunny skies, calm air, and that unmistakable sense that it was a day made for golf.

The day began with a couple of unexpected adventures: a forgotten battery and one very, very long scenic route to the course.

But any chaos was quickly soothed by the aroma of freshly cooked pastries and barista made coffee waiting on arrival.

Spirits lifted instantly, and the team stepped onto the first tee fuelled, focused, and fired up.

With the pennant race tightening, every point was vital.

It was a commanding team performance when it mattered most.

Farmann set the tone early with a dominant 8/7 victory.

Elliana and Lina delivered composed, confident wins, while Janine fought all the way to the final hole to secure a crucial 1up result.

Sinae held steady for a valuable square, rounding out a strong overall showing.

With the win secured, the team keeps its pennant hopes very much alive.

A day of pastries, pressure, perseverance – and ultimately, points on the board.

A heartfelt thank you to our caddies.

Their confidence in us and unwavering support continue to be invaluable.

Next week is the final round at Royal Sydney against Cronulla. Stay tuned!
