2025 Castle Hill Country Club Championships – Congratulations to Our Champions!

Posted on: 1 December

What an incredible four rounds of golf at Castle Hill Country Club!

The 2025 Club Championships delivered everything we love about our great game – pressure, resilience, drama, and world-class performances across every grade.

A huge congratulations to all competitors and especially to our 2025 Club Champions listed below.

A Grade Champion – Justin Hatchett — Total: 296

A sensational performance across all four rounds, highlighted by superb ball-striking and composure under pressure.

Entering the last round 4 shots behind the leaders, Justin made up the deficit and stood on the final tee all square with Owen Brightman.

Sadly, Owen’s bogey on the last opened the door enough for Justin.  Under extreme pressure, Justin held his nerve, calmly rolling in a clutch 4-foot par putt which, in the end, was good enough to take the title by a single stroke.

A champion’s finish.
Outstanding golf, Justin!

Runner-up: Owen Brightman – 297
Third Place: Ryan Fletcher – 299

A Reserve Champion – Sal Nati — Total: 321

They say the tournament doesn’t get underway until the back nine on the final round.  Sal was three shots behind the leader with 8 holes to play, and then something clicked!  Sal proceeded with four straight pars before birdieing the 15th hole.  He then continued to make two clutch pars at the 16th and 17th, giving Sal the luxury of a two-shot lead going up the last.  A generous two-putt from 8 feet for bogey was enough to secure a two-stroke victory.
Great win, Sal!

Runner-up: Drew Simonsen – 323
Third Place: Troy Ong – 327

B Grade Champion – Andrew Drummond — Total: 346

Andrew started the final round 7 shots back of the lead and in last place of the 8 qualifiers.

He then went on to produce one of the all-time great comebacks, storming through the pack with a final round of 82.

This was the low round of the tournament by two strokes, and to do it in the final round to record a one-shot win, this will go down in B Grade Championship folklore.
Huge congratulations, Andrew!

Runner-up (Countback): Rohan Tudor – 347
Third Place: Darren Hornby – 347

C Grade Champion – Robert Love — Total: 374

In the year of great fightbacks, C Grade was another fine example.

Robert made it through the first qualifying just inside the cut line and a massive 10 strokes behind.

Robert showed an ultra-steady hand over the last two rounds, posting the two lowest scores of the tournament, 88 and 89.

The rest of the field just could not keep up with this outstanding play, seeing Robert running away as a 6-shot winner.

Well played, Robert!

Runner-up: Dom Lousin – 380
Third Place: Rick Ward – 382

Congratulations to All Participants

The Club Championships are the pinnacle of our golfing calendar – four rounds of stroke play that test every part of your game and mindset.
