This email is to share an update on the format for the 2025 Junior Championships at CHCC.

Event details

• This year both the Junior Girls Championships & the Junior Boys Championships will be played in a designated timeslot directly following the last group of the CHCC Men’s B & C Grade Club Championships. The dates are as follows: 
  • 1st Round – Saturday 1st November 2025 from approx. 11.30am 
  • 2nd Round – Saturday 8th November 2025 from approx. 11.30am
• This event is open to Cadets and Sub Cadets with a GA handicap, and who are under the age of 18 years as at the date of the first round.
• Note: Caddies are not permitted in this event, however spectators are welcome to come along and watch the juniors. Further details will be provided to Juniors in the lead-up to the event.

Presentations

At the conclusion of the second round, the Ray Bainbridge Memorial Trophy for Junior Boys will be awarded to the Junior Boys Stroke Champion, and the Stephanie Badger Trophy for Junior Girls will be awarded to the Junior Girls Stroke Champion. Nett trophies will also be presented at the conclusion of the final round. Time sheets will be made available soon to register for the Junior Championships.

Additionally, for those juniors who are still developing their game and are not ready for a championship format, the Junior Development Committee will host a CHCC Junior Nett 9-hole Fun Day on Sunday, 7th December. This will be a great chance to get involved in a more relaxed setting.

We look forward to seeing strong participation across all events and to celebrating the achievements of our junior golfers.

2025 Junior Boys Championship and the Club Championships.

An Invitation for Junior Boys from the Junior Development Committee and Club Captain

As stated above, the Junior Club Championship is a 36-hole event played in an allocated timeslot on Saturday 1st & 8th November 2025, directly following the Men’s B & C Grade Championships on the same day.  The following will apply should you wish to play in both the Junior Championships and Club Championships:

• GA Handicaps 10.7 or above – All Junior Boys who are playing in the Junior Championship, and whose GA handicap is 10.7 or above, will have their scores from the Junior Championship automatically applied to the corresponding round of the B & C Grade Championship.
• GA Handicaps 10.6 or less – Those Junior Boys, whose handicaps are 10.6 or less, will be required to enter and play in the Men’s A & A Reserve Club Championships separately, and in addition, to the Junior Championship.  The dates for the Men’s A & A Reserve Grade Club Championship are as follows:
  • Round 1 Sunday 2nd November  
  • Round 2 Sunday 9th November 
  • Round 3 Saturday 15th November 
  • With the Final Round – Saturday 22nd November

2025 Junior Girls Championship and the Club Championships.

An Invitation for Junior Girls from the Junior Development Committee and Women’s Captain. 

All CHCC Junior Girls with golf handicaps are also invited to play in the 2025 Women’s Club Championship. This event is separate to the Junior Championship.  The Club Championship is a 54-hole stroke event and is played over three rounds on Thursday 16th, Thursday 23rd and Thursday 30th October. Please note that this event is being held during the school term and it is not compulsory to attend.

Please keep an eye out for registration for this event. We look forward to having lots of girls participating in the Junior Girls and Women’s Annual Club Championships.
