⛳ 2025 Men’s Foursomes Championship – Event Recap
The 2025 Men’s Foursomes Championship was played across two consecutive Saturdays and showcased outstanding teamwork, patience, and plenty of great golf. With 186 players teeing it up in this classic two-player consecutive shot stroke format, the event once again proved why it’s one of the most anticipated championships on the CHCC calendar.
Players battled it out across three grades – A, B, and C – with both gross consistency and nerves of steel needed to take home the silverware. The course played firm and fair, and while there were moments of brilliance, it was teamwork that ultimately separated the winners from the rest.
Here’s how the leaderboard finished up:
A Grade
Winners: Keean Holmes & Nicholas Heanes
Scores: 79 & 72 = 151
A huge second-round 72 sealed the deal for Holmes and Heanes, seeing them storm home to claim the title with a three-shot win.
Special mention to their -3 back nine on the final round, spectacular!
Runners-Up: Trent Wheeler & Rodney McDonald
Scores: 76 & 78 = 154
Consistent golf over both rounds kept them in the mix, finishing a strong second in a tightly contested grade.
B Grade
Winners: Gerard Heads & Steve Moran
Scores: 86 & 88 = 174
Heads and Moran kept their cool across both rounds to finish with a solid total and secure a deserved win in B Grade.
Runners-Up: Jamal Esmaili & Mark Vassallo
Scores: 93 & 88 = 181
A big improvement in the second round saw them jump into runner-up position with a strong Sunday showing.
C Grade
Winners: Alann James & Bill Zubrycki
Scores: 93 & 94 = 187
A consistent performance across both days earned James and Zubrycki a well-earned C Grade title.
Runners-Up: Kim Gosper & Peter Duncan
Scores: 89 & 101 = 190
A solid opening round had them in the hunt, and despite a tough second round, they held on to claim second place.
