I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and has had a great start to the New Year. I wish you all the best in chasing your handicap goals. With more members and their guests enjoying time on the course over the break, a few housekeeping matters have been highlighted that I kindly ask you to be mindful of.<\/p>\n
Course Care<\/strong> Unfortunately, and increasingly, I have also heard from members who are frustrated by what I hope is a small minority not showing the same pride and care for our course. You may have experienced this yourself\u2014perhaps coming across an unrepaired divot, an unraked bunker, or having to repair multiple pitch marks on the green before putting. Golf is challenging enough without these additional obstacles.<\/p>\n Many members have mentioned that they regularly go above and beyond by repairing numerous pitch marks, additional raking of bunkers after their shots, and using multiple sand buckets to repair divots. This effort is greatly appreciated.<\/p>\n Please show respect to your fellow members by doing your part to help maintain the high standard of our course and avoid any embarrassment should the Course Marshal catch up with you.<\/p>\n Checking In Prior to Play<\/strong> While you may see gaps and think it is okay to head out, please ensure you register with the Pro Shop first. \nI have received a great deal of positive feedback during this period regarding how good our course is looking. This is a real testament to the Course Maintenance team and the quality of the course they present to us each day, especially considering the volume of play.<\/p>\n
\nBefore commencing play\u2014even if it is only for a few social holes\u2014please check in with the Pro Shop. The team will direct you to the best hole to start from, as competition starting holes, groups already on the course, and scheduled maintenance may affect where you can begin.<\/p>\n
\n<\/strong>While we maintain a relaxed attitude toward attire in the Clubhouse, when golfing\u2014whether on the course or in any of the practice areas\u2014please ensure you are correctly dressed in accordance with club standards.<\/p>\n
