{"id":14403,"date":"2025-10-03T13:31:02","date_gmt":"2025-10-03T03:31:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.castlehillcountryclub.com.au\/cms\/?p=14403"},"modified":"2025-10-03T13:37:10","modified_gmt":"2025-10-03T03:37:10","slug":"long-weekend-golf-course-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.castlehillcountryclub.com.au\/cms\/2025\/10\/long-weekend-golf-course-update\/","title":{"rendered":"Weekend Golf Course Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Members,<\/p>\n<p>Please note the following for the upcoming weekend:<\/p>\n<p><strong>1st and 2nd holes will be open for play.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Golf Cart Access: &#8211; <br \/>\nWhen approaching the 1st green, you may drive over the newly laid turf on the left side approaching the path.<br \/>\nFor the 2nd hole, please remain on the path at all times.<\/p>\n<p>Ground Under Repair (GUR):-<br \/>\nNewly laid turf on both the 1st and 2nd holes is compulsory GUR. If your ball comes to rest on any newly laid turf, you must take relief.<br \/>\nMultiple drop zones have been clearly marked for your convenience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>17th Hole Update<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As part of the preparatory works for the potential shed site, we\u2019ve taken the opportunity to carry out improvements to the 17th fairway and cart path.<\/p>\n<p>These upgrades serve several key purposes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Improved playability: A new bail-out fairway area is being created, clearly visible from the tee, offering more strategic options and a better playing experience.<\/li>\n<li>Landscaping enhancements: The surrounding area near the shed site will be landscaped to support vegetation growth, softening the visual impact and improving course aesthetics over time.<\/li>\n<li>Aesthetic improvements: Concrete has been removed from the player\u2019s eyeline off the tee, making the hole more visually appealing and enjoyable to play.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We appreciate your patience and support as we continue making improvements to the course.<\/p>\n<p>Happy golfing, Course Superintendent and Captain<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear Members, Please note the following for the upcoming weekend: 1st and 2nd holes will be open for play.
